Daylight Savings.

Fun fact: Did you know that in 1784 good old Benjamin Franklin suggested daylight savings as a way to take advantage of the sunlight and burn fewer candles. However, it wasn’t until 1966 that the Uniform Time Act was passed as a means to save energy.

So, for those of you who got an extra hour today, whether it was to sleep or be extra efficient (or maybe you got two hours because your kiddos were up at 5:30?), we hope got just what you needed.sleep blog - Anna

As the days shorten and and we head into more hours of darkness, today begins a great opportunity to listen to your body. When you start yawning at 8:00 PM, look at your to-do list and see if anything can be pushed off for another day. Let this week be an opportunity to focus on getting more sleep.

You’ve heard this from us many of times, but it is so true – the quality of our sleep is directly related to our health and wellness.

There is truth to the old adage, also a Benjamin Franklin quote, “Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.” So close your computer, tuck away that cell phone, and know that that pile of laundry that needs to be folded, unfortunately, will not be getting up and walking away.
