With Kids Rule is fast approaching & Spring and Summer are knocking at our doors… it can only mean one thing – smoothie season! Yes, this is the time of year when we fire up those blenders and enjoy countless refreshing smoothies. This is one of our favorites that is loved by all – yes, even you adults.


2 servings

2 cups spinach (or your favorite dark leafy green)
⅔ cup almond, coconut or rice milk
½ cup ice water
1 ripe banana, peeled
2 tablespoons almond butter or sunbutter
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 dates, pitted
½ avocado, pitted

  1. Blend greens, non-dairy milk and water until well blended.  Add the banana, nut/seed butter, cinnamon and  dates and blend until smooth.
  2. Add the avocado and blend until just combined, you don’t want to overblend avocado as it will become too thick!
